Club Penguin *HUGE* Halloween

Posted On October 26, 2007 by Dan

Wow,

Club Penguin have definitely gone all out for this Halloween event, it looks like it will be the biggest event of the year, and it looks great too! A lot of cool features, items, tasks and things to do, so lets get into our Halloween review.

Club Penguin Items

Here’s a pic of the Beach, one of the cool features of this event is that the Lighthouse has been transformed into a “theatre” of sorts and there’s a silent-movie titled “Night of the Living SLED” — very well done indeed.

There’s a new pin, the Spider Pin located in the Cave (Which has been turned into a Slime Pool. I’ll update the pin guide shortly.
The newspaper is out with a vote for whether or not the wigs will stay — VOTE YES!! The more features we have the better.

Go to the Snow Forts and pick up the free Pumpkin Basket item, and then complete the “find treats” task to get a free item. I will write a guide on where the items are, as a couple of the riddles are tricky!

All in all it looks to be a good event.

Flashback: October 2006

Posted On October 24, 2007 by Dan

I have this feature I added to the site last month called “Flashback” where we look at the same month one year ago on Club Penguin–

Funnily enough, the latest thing on Club Penguin is a book in the Library which does the exact same thing. Darn, maybe Club Penguin got the idea from me ;)

Either way, it’s not stopping me from doing the Flashback, as we can compare it to this month on the site and keep a track record, so here we go.

Club Penguin Tricks

October 2006

  • Captain Rockhopper arrived for the first time, and we could board his pirate ship. We weren’t allowed in the Ship’s hull yet though, it was just a beginning of Club Penguin phasing in the Ship.
  • Club Penguin’s first birthday was celebrated at the Coffee Shop.
  • Club Penguin’s login system was vastly improved and a lot of fixes were made to the way Club Penguin is played.
  • Club Penguin celebrated it’s first Halloween and Club Penguin was covered in darkness. I wonder if this year’s Halloween will be a close-copy of last years… we’ll wait and see.

That pretty much sums up October of 2006!

Wow it’s Club Penguin’s 2nd Anniversary!

It’s only for TODAY in the Coffee Shop complete with decorations and a HUGE cake (bigger than last years)….

Get your FREE Club Penguin 2nd Anniversary Party HAT on the 2nd level of the Coffe Shop, and check out the new book in the Library called the 2006-2007 Yearbook.

Kind of similar to the “2006 Flashback” feature we have here on this site!

Anyway here are some pics…..

Happy Birthday Club Penguin

Club Penguin Newspaper Issue 103

Spooky Basers,

Club Penguin News

New newspaper came out on Thursday with some cool information about what we can expect this Halloween on Club Penguin. Apparently the new way of decorating our penguins is coming very shortly - as we can see by the boxes in the Gift Shop.

Some people assume it’s hair for Penguins — although I doubt huge boxes would be used for hair (however the boxes might be used for the altering of the Gift Shop which happens later in the month). Other Penguins think it’s animated clothing… what do you think it might be?

Whatever the case, with the new clothing catalog comes new Halloween costumes- and what better way to decide which costumes are the coolest other than a Costume CONTEST. That’s it Penguins, so start buying some scary gear.

The featured game for the week is Puffle Round-Up, a pin comes out on Oct. 12th.

I’ll post up the Catalog secrets shortly.

Soon-to-be-productive Basers,

Hmmm incase you didn’t know, there’s a really cool way to keep track of Club Penguin updates. It’s really simple and will save time searching around trying to find out what’s new and what’s not.

Unfortunately, this is only for people who use Mozilla Firefox as their default Browser ( http://www.firefox.com ) so if you don’t already have it, get it! It’s a lot better than Internet Explorer.

Then, all you need to do, is click on the Orange Icon at the end of the web address and add Club Penguin Base as a Live Bookmark. Here’s what it looks like when you’ve done that:

Sure saves searching the net for Club Penguin updates, now you wont even need to load one webpage. This website is probably the most updated Club Penguin site on the planet, so we think we’re worth the bookmark.

What do you think?
