Flashback: September 2006

I’ve decided to add a new feature to your Club Penguin Base. Every month I will feature a flashback of what Club Penguin was like exactly one year ago, so that we can see how far we’ve come and how things have changed!
The first issue is of course September 2006….. were you playing Club Penguin then?? It was still popular but definitely not as popular as it is now, with quite a few cool things added during the month that perhaps we take for granted now.
The Lighthouse actually opened mid-September 2006 after a lot of anticipation throughout the month. Plenty of grand opening parties were thrown and there was a coming soon sign that ended up being Jet Pack Adventure 
The other major turning point in Club Penguin was when after a lot of nagging by Penguins, you could Walk your Puffle outside of your Igloo and around town!! I’m sure everybodies Puffle enjoyed spreading their…… legs?? around CP Island.
Also, the telescope at the Beacon hinted that something was coming in the following weeks. We know who that turned out to be…. hehe.
I wonder how much things will change next year, seeing as Club Penguin is owned by Disney now. I’m sure a lot will change, and we’ll be here to document it. Hopefully you will too.
