Club Penguin Newspaper Issue 105

Posted On October 23, 2007 by Dan

I know I’m a bit late– October 18th’s CP Newspaper had some interesting features,

Club Penguin Halloween

The featured front-cover article “Starlight? Darknight?” hinted at the same occurance as last year– a week of darkness over the Halloween period.

That’s really cool, I like the idea and can’t wait for the end of the week when that happens- (October 26th)

There’s a few suprises in-store for us on Halloween…

My guess is flashlights!!

Let’s find out if I’m right.

In other news, the results of the costume contest is in, there’s a game update for Ice Fishing and Puffle Round up — all coins are DOUBLED for those games.

Also, the featured game is Ice Hockey, check the Cheats guide for shooting the perfect speed-shot!

That’s all for now, Enjoy.

Halloween Event Preview!

Posted On October 18, 2007 by Dan

Spooky happenings over at the Club Penguin Blog,

Our good friend Billy Bob posted a sneak peak to the event happening at the end of the month. Here’s what he had to say:

As you know we are quickly approaching two of the biggest parties of the year! The Club Penguin Anniversary Party takes place on October 24th which is the day it first launched. That party will only be for one day, so you won’t want to miss it. Just a few days later, the Halloween Party starts and it is going to be sweet! Just check out the cool picture I got!

In order to help you get ready, we’ll be launching the special Halloween Igloo Furniture Catalog with all of your favorite decorations from last year and a few new ones! We’ll also be launching a special Halloween Igloo that many of you have been asking for!”

Here is the pic

As always, we can expect free items (maybe a trick-or-treat bag?) as well as some cool stuff for the anniversary party on the 24th. Awesome!

Club Penguin HAIR guide???

Posted On October 12, 2007 by Dan

Gelled-up Basers,

Club Penguin Hair

The rumours were true and the new way of decorating for Halloween is Penguin Hair! I think it’s a pretty good idea and they look pretty snazzy is you ask me. According to the head honcho’s over at Club Penguin, it may or may not be a permanent addition to Club Penguin and they’re seeing how it goes over the Halloween period.

The Hair catalog called “Big Wig” can be found in the Gift Shop, where you can also have a sit on one of the cool Hair machine seats too (explains the big boxes!)

There are six different hairstyles to choose from to begin with.

The Spikester - 500 coins

The Rocker - 750 coins

The Sportster - 600 coins

The Disco - 600 coins

The Funster - 500 coins

The Beekeeper - 750 coins

Only members can purchase hairstyles, perhaps Club Penguin would have a better reception with the hairstyles if they allowed one or two to be purchased by non-members? Just a thought. Let’s see how it goes over the Halloween period!
