Club Penguin Base Poll Two Results

Posted On October 28, 2007 by Dan

Ay there Basers,

We’re over 2 months old now and going strong, even though we had a quiet week or two here at the Base. Our first poll here managed to get 204 total votes.

Club Penguin Money

Our second Poll has just finished and we surpassed last months total votes even though there were less articles this month! Wow! I’m really glad that we’re growing and becoming a larger force in the Club Penguin community.

This poll just passed was titled “Which Club Penguin Game is your Favorite?” from Sept. 27th until October 28th. The winner is: Sled Racing with 80 votes. I guess because you can do so many cool tricks and can earn so many coins you guys love it. If you want to know how to go faster when Sled Racing, check out our cheat guide… which is one of the largest CP cheat guides (if not THE largest) online!

Anyway, this months poll is for us to get a rough idea of how experienced our guests (you!) are at Club Penguin by seeing how long you’ve played. Start voting guys!

Hope you’re enjoying Halloween, until tomorrow,

Dan.

Halloween Treat Hunting Guide

Posted On October 26, 2007 by Dan

First things first, once you start looking for treats don’t close Club Penguin in your browser or you have to begin finding them again– there’s no “memory” for it. Makes things a bit difficult if you only have a limited amount of time so make sure you have at least 20 mins free just to make sure you don’t miss out.

There are 8 treats to find in order to claim the free item during this treat hunt. The free item is a Scarf and is pretty cool. Available to ALL members paying and non-paying.

Club Penguin Missions

Firstly, go to the Snow Forts and pick up your Pumpkin Basket. It will appear in your top-right hand corner and you can click on it. In order to find each treat, you get given clues. Luckily for you this guide tells you where to find each treat.

Treat 1) In the Pizza Parlour in the pipe of the Pipe Organ

Treat 2) In the Coffee Shop inside the treat bowl

Treat 3) In the forest– bottom-left tree knot

Treat 4) In the Beacon - Bottom right, Life Ring

Treat 5) In the eye socket of the fish on the wall of the Ski Lodge

Treat 6) In the Nightclub click on the jumping blue Puffle, the answer to the riddle is “Happy Halloween” and he jumps into the barrel of apples and makes you a treat.

Treat 7) Scarecrow on the Mountain

Treat 8) At the Cove, click on the Binoculars and look through them. You’ll eventually see a purple octopus holding your 8th treat!

Then just click on the pumpkin basket and redeem your scarf item!

Happy Halloween!

Club Penguin *HUGE* Halloween

Posted On by Dan

Wow,

Club Penguin have definitely gone all out for this Halloween event, it looks like it will be the biggest event of the year, and it looks great too! A lot of cool features, items, tasks and things to do, so lets get into our Halloween review.

Club Penguin Items

Here’s a pic of the Beach, one of the cool features of this event is that the Lighthouse has been transformed into a “theatre” of sorts and there’s a silent-movie titled “Night of the Living SLED” — very well done indeed.

There’s a new pin, the Spider Pin located in the Cave (Which has been turned into a Slime Pool. I’ll update the pin guide shortly.
The newspaper is out with a vote for whether or not the wigs will stay — VOTE YES!! The more features we have the better.

Go to the Snow Forts and pick up the free Pumpkin Basket item, and then complete the “find treats” task to get a free item. I will write a guide on where the items are, as a couple of the riddles are tricky!

All in all it looks to be a good event.

Flashback: October 2006

Posted On October 24, 2007 by Dan

I have this feature I added to the site last month called “Flashback” where we look at the same month one year ago on Club Penguin–

Funnily enough, the latest thing on Club Penguin is a book in the Library which does the exact same thing. Darn, maybe Club Penguin got the idea from me ;)

Either way, it’s not stopping me from doing the Flashback, as we can compare it to this month on the site and keep a track record, so here we go.

Club Penguin Tricks

October 2006

  • Captain Rockhopper arrived for the first time, and we could board his pirate ship. We weren’t allowed in the Ship’s hull yet though, it was just a beginning of Club Penguin phasing in the Ship.
  • Club Penguin’s first birthday was celebrated at the Coffee Shop.
  • Club Penguin’s login system was vastly improved and a lot of fixes were made to the way Club Penguin is played.
  • Club Penguin celebrated it’s first Halloween and Club Penguin was covered in darkness. I wonder if this year’s Halloween will be a close-copy of last years… we’ll wait and see.

That pretty much sums up October of 2006!
